Occupational Therapist

Aaron Humphries is a paediatric Occupational Therapist who has worked with children and young people aged 4–20 years across clinic and school-based settings. Aaron has a Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy, a Certificate in Sport and Recreation, and experience with mentoring children and adolescents.
Aaron has supported children and young people with challenges in sensory processing differences, emotional regulation, handwriting, fine-motor delays, gross-motor skills, coordination, and social boundary needs. He enjoys combining structured tabletop tasks with movement-based and proprioceptive activities to promote both skill acquisition and to ensure sessions are motivating.
Aaron likes to work closely with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure meaningful carryover into daily routines. He values open communication and sees parents and educators as essential partners in a child’s developmental journey.
From his life experience, Aaron has developed a passion for working with young people in Aotearoa and has observed how much of an impact can be made on young people’s lives socially and through their education with positive input.
He is passionate about working with Tamariki in New Zealand and helping children thrive by building on their strengths and supporting their independence.
