The early years of a child’s life are very important for their health and development. Babies and toddlers develop at their own rate, but sometimes they may be slower to reach their milestones. This may be due to a number of different reasons but the way your baby moves and learns is just as important as the milestone. If you are concerned about your baby or toddlers development we have experienced therapists to help you and your baby.
Is your baby...
- turning their head only one way or holding their head tilted? This can be due to positional torticollis and can lead to a misshapen head (plagiocephaly)
- using two hands to reach and grasp toys?
- struggling to roll or sit independently?
- able to save themselves when they fall or topple over while sitting?
- bottom shuffling?
- Do you have concerns regarding their walking gait?
- Do you have concerns regarding their play and interaction with other children?
Quick Milestone Check
- Rolling both directions 3-6 months
- Sitting supported 6 months
- Sitting unsupported 9 months
- Moving in and out of sitting 9-10 months
