Occupational Therapist

Kristen Edwards is a dedicated Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa). She began her career in an acute hospital setting, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care across a range of clinical needs. Over the past two years, she has transitioned into private practice, focusing on the paediatric population and supporting children in achieving meaningful developmental outcomes.

Her clinical experience includes working extensively with children with Autism, sensory processing difficulties, and developmental delays. She is currently advancing her expertise through the Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) training, having successfully completed the theory, assessment, and interpretation components, and is working towards completing the final intervention module. This ongoing training has strengthened her commitment to evidence-based practice, ensuring her therapeutic approaches are guided by the latest research and tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Kristen is passionate about working with children and is continually inspired by the ways they perceive and interact with the world. She adopts a holistic, client-centred approach, collaborating closely with families, educators, and other stakeholders to support each child in reaching their full potential. Her goal is to create meaningful, functional outcomes that enhance participation and quality of life for the children and families she works with.
