Children (and their family) usually feel a sense of relief when they understand there is a reason why they
are struggling.

A free, no obligation 15 minute consultation is offered at The Kids’ Place so parents/care-givers (without your child) can meet a member of the therapy team and ask further questions. Costs will be explained at the initial consultation so you can budget in advance should you decide your child would benefit from a programme at The Kids’ Place.

“Our 9 year old son started to see Sarah in March 2015. We were concerned because he was almost two years behind at school, struggling with reading and writing. He loves school and is bright and social so we didn’t know what was going on. I felt so frustrated before I saw Sarah because we had already tried so many other things to help our son with his learning. Sarah made the sessions so much fun, my son loved going, and in only 7 months he has almost caught up at school!  Sarah’s kindness and support of me as a parent was also very appreciated.” Parent of a 9 year old boy

“From the outset we could see that Sarah and her team are genuinely dedicated to the progress and wellbeing of each child that walks through their door.
We love that there are professionals available each with different skillsets to add to the total input. The calibre of professionals is impressive, they are knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated to furthering their own knowledge in all aspects of child development.

Our son has spent considerable time with Camilla the physiotherapist as well and has made great gains. The best aspect is that our son looks forward to going there. He sees it as a fun place to spend time, and considers the team there part of his circle of “big friends.” It’s a delight and I cannot be happier we found them”. Parent of a 5 year boy

“I can’t recommend Sarah highly enough. She is so friendly, fun and positive that it was no surprise when my son’s OT sessions with her soon became the highlight of his week. Sarah immediately gained his enthusiasm and trust by taking as a starting point his natural interests and inclinations, and consequently working with him, rather than against him. Sarah’s talents in her own field, and her broad knowledge of child development in general, has not only been of immense benefit to my son, but also to my own self confidence as a parent.” Parent of a 3 year old boy

“After her first appointment at The Kids’ Place my daughter said it was the best place ever and asked when could she go back. 6 months later and she still looks forward to her appointments each week. I am enjoying learning about my daughters areas that are challenging her and the things I can do to help her at home. I loved that Sarah explained early on that we could help my daughter with some of the ‘holes’ she had in some of her areas in her learning. I’m not sure who enjoys coming each week the most, my daughter for the confidence building, fun activities and genuine warm approach that Sarah has towards her or me, for the reassurance, information and down to earth understanding of busy family life.” Parent of a 7 year old girl

“My husband and I were hoping that Sarah would be able to help us with our son’s fine motor control but what has actually happened is that she has given us so much more. For me the most significant benefit for our son has been his boost in confidence. She has the most wonderful manner with our son (and I’m sure all clients). He comes out of her sessions bubbling with successes he has had and stories of how he has solved problems. This has lead to him having a greater belief in himself when faced with other problems outside of the safety of Sarah’s clinic. Sarah has also been able to provide formal testing and jargon free informative assessments for us to read through and gain a better understanding of our son’s strengths and weaknesses.

I will be for ever grateful for Sarah’s professionalism, dedication and loving, warm nature that has changed the trajectory of my sons life. ” Parent of a 9 year old boy

“Our six-month old daughter has hypotonia (low muscle tone) and sees Camilla for physiotherapy sessions. She is amazing with her and so encouraging. Camilla is a wealth of knowledge during sessions and has devised a home programmes after each session for us to follow.” Parent of a 6 month old girl

“Sarah has been working with our son for over a year now and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. He needed help with both his fine and gross motor skills, as well as his confidence and social skills. From his ability to hold a pencil to his ball skills, the progress has been huge. Best of all, he loves his OT sessions with Sarah and sees them as a treat, rather than a chore. They’ve developed a lovely bond and Sarah is currently playing a huge role in his transition to school. We couldn’t do it without her!” Parent of a 5 year old boy

“I am more than impressed in how my daughter has progressed and improved in general skills while attending sessions with both Sarah and Camilla at The Kids’ Place over the last couple of months. Miss 4’s general confidence in everything she does has changed out of sight with positive comments coming from her teachers at Kindy as well as a noticeable difference in her general development”. Parent of a 4 year old girl

” Our son was having trouble focusing and processing information at school as well as meeting the standards in reading and writing. After 8 months we have seen major improvements in the areas mentioned resulting in a good school report and our son having caught up to where he should be according to his age. This has taken hard work in the weekly sessions with Sarah which included daily exercises she has suggested doing at home but the results speak for themselves. Sarah is a wonderfully warm person, she has a fantastic rapport with children. She certainly connected with our son straight away. He loves attending the sessions.

On a professional level we feel that she communicates in a clear and easy to understand manner. We can throughly recommend Sarah”. Parent of 6 year old boy
